GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service will host a webinar February 22 from 1-4 Eastern time on “Acquiring Professional Services to Build a Future-Ready Workforce.”

The webinar will address “current trends that challenge how agencies attract, equip, develop, and retain top talent.” Topics will include in-person, hybrid and virtual work environments; leading virtual teams; repositioning current employees through education and training; closing skills gaps; addressing organizational deficiencies; acquiring technology to improve efficiency; and the personnel skills needed to succeed in a virtual environment.

Other topics will include hiring practices such as writing more effective job descriptions; shifting toward skill-based hiring; and using programs such as the Pathways Program.
