OPM has launched a "Hispanic Council on Federal Employment” to help it improve hiring outreach to the Hispanic community. The council will consist of representatives from various Hispanic organizations and federal agencies that have experience in working on issues affecting Hispanic communities.
OPM said the council would provide advice on ways to improve and increase outreach to Hispanic communities, recommend further actions to address the under-representation of Hispanics in the federal workforce, recommend ways to promote successful retention and advancement efforts, and help the federal government effectively communicate with Hispanic communities regarding federal employment.
