Homeless Vet Population Declines

The number of homeless veterans now sits at slightly more than 13,000, according to the latest government statistics. The figure represents a 47-percent decrease since 2010. The Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development departments and the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness attribute the decline to partnerships among the agencies and their counterparts at the state and local levels.
