House committees have filed reports on a series of DHS-related bills, commonly an indication that the bills are to be brought to floor voting in the near future. Those include:
* HR-5633, to require greater public release of reports by the department’s inspector general and additional reporting ongoing audits, inspections and evaluations, including data on tips and complaints made to the IG hotline and the actions taken in response.
* HR-5656, to require DHS to review its training programs for its law enforcement personnel, and to commit to the needed steps within a specific time to gain the pertinent accreditation for any programs that do not have that status.
* HR-5658, to require DHS to report on the roles of its components relating to cyber incident response including a review of how other agencies use the plans it develops, and to make any recommendations for changes in law needed to clarify those roles.
