Federal Manager's Daily Report

The Office of Personnel Management has scheduled a course for

August 30 — September 1 for GS-15s, SES members, and their

equivalents interested in the OPM executive core qualifications

listed under leadership competencies.

Given at the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville,

Va., “Leaders Growing Leaders: Building Your Organization by

Developing Leaders at Every Level,” is designed to prepare

senior leaders to develop other leaders, which is needed

because many senior executives are likely to retire in the

next five years.

The program draws on research demonstrating that leaders are

grown through challenging job-based experiences and

interaction with senior leaders, and helps leaders develop a

succession management plan as well as initiate other

leadership development programs in their organizations.

The program features the presentation of basic principles,

demonstrations, small group discussion, videos, action

learning projects, case studies and role-playing. The

$1,935 fee includes meals, lodging, tuition and course

materials. Learn more and register at:
