By: FEDweek StaffThe EEOC has announced the program for main annual training conference, the EXCEL (Examining Conflicts in Employment Law) conference, what it calls the “premier EEO and diversity and inclusion training conference for EEO, HR, and legal professionals from private, state, local, and federal organizations.”
The conference, to be held July 30-August 2 in Washington, D.C., will feature more than 70 workshops, refresher training tracks for counselors and investigators. Among the topics will be creating a respectful environment for employees, responding appropriately to employee complaints, preventing problematic behavior from rising to the level of illegal harassment, and requirements under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, which recently went into effect.
