The Office of Personnel Management’s 2006 workforce conference,
scheduled for Feb. 27-March 2, is expected to draw up to a hundred
vendors promoting solutions in the areas of federal employee
benefits, leadership for transforming organizations, practical
strategies for human capital management, and background
investigations.
The event, to be held at the Baltimore Convention Center will
consist of four days of sessions and seminars focusing on major
issues facing federal managers, and OPM said exhibits would cover
training programs, benefits providers, career management, executive
coaching and human capital software solutions.
“We’re opening up the vendor requirements,” said Michael Beckmann,
acting deputy associate director of OPM’s Center for Leadership
Capacity Services.
“The conference presents a premier opportunity for vendors to
showcase products and services related to federal workforce
development, human capital management and training,” he said.
