The Navy has sent a Performance Management Survey to 38,000
randomly selected civilian employees across the Navy and
Marine Corps. Through the survey, the Navy will collect
information on current performance management practices
that will enable it to develop implementation strategies
for the national security personnel system performance
system when it is deployed.
The Web–based survey asks for input on topics such as
formal and informal performance feedback, manager-employee
interaction, and various components of the organization’s
culture.
In a message to employees, the Navy said, “If you have
received the survey and have not completed it yet, please
do so. You may never have another opportunity for 30
minutes of your time to impact so many people.”
