GSA has appointed the former director of the National Academy of Public Administration’s Collaboration Project – a leadership project attempting to leverage collaborative technology and the Internet to solve government problems — as its new chief of staff.
According to GSA, Danielle M. Germain will oversee the office of the administrator, responsible for staffing of agency programs and projects, continuity of operations planning and emergency response efforts, and coordination with GSA’s 11 regions.
Prior to the Academy, Germain, a former congressional aide to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., served in management positions at the American Council for Technology/Industry Advisory Council; the Council for Excellence in Government as the director of technology programs; the Information Technology Association of America and IBM’s office of governmental programs.
