The Office of Government Ethics has issued an updated guide for federal employees who file confidential financial disclosure reports (OGE Form 450).
The guide “contains OGE’s most current and comprehensive guidance on financial disclosure requirements for both new entrant and annual confidential reports in the executive branch, including the best way to disclose specific financial interests.”
“The guide also shares information on the collection and retention of confidential financial disclosure reports, as well as updated reporting thresholds for gift and travel reimbursements,” the OGE said in a notice to agencies.
It reflects OGE’s most recent guidance and interpretations on issues such as ownership virtual currency, the term “personal residence,” and reporting on unemployment benefits, benefit plans from prior employers, and legal expense funds.
It also includes new sections on specialized types of investments including non-fungible tokens, donor-advised funds, investment clubs, indexed annuities, and more.
