The Office of Management and Budget has announced that it is
amending Bulletin No. 01-02, Audit Requirements for Federal
Financial Statements, providing guidance on financial
statement audits of federal agencies.
It said as of fiscal 2004 agencies are required to submit
audited financial statement information for the compilation
of the Financial Report of the United States Government.
The procedures agencies are required to follow for the
retirement, health benefits and life insurance withholdings
and contributions, and the supplemental headcount report
submitted to OPM has changed as well, said OMB.
The amendments as well as an updated listing of agencies
subject to the accountability of tax dollars act of 2002 can
