The Office of Management and Budget has appointed a new
e-government and IT administrator that it says will help
it complete its 24 e-government initiatives and overall
strategy.
As associate administrator for e-gov and IT, Timothy K.
Young will be in charge of planning and implementation
and responsible for ensuring they are inline with the
president’s management agenda, said OMB.
As its portfolio manager for internal efficiency and
effectiveness, Young was charged with leveraging IT to
improve supply-chain management, financial management,
and knowledge management.
Prior to entering the White House, Young was a senior
consultant for Bearing Point and conducted research
internships with the House as well as the Heritage
Foundation, said OMB.
