Federal Manager's Daily Report

The Office of Management and Budget has released an e-gov report

outlining goals for fiscal 2005 including “acceptable business cases”

for e-gov systems at 75 percent of agencies, portfolio management

according to earned value management at half of agencies–13 of

them, IT systems that are certified and accredited for security at 90

percent of agencies and the elimination of IT skill gaps in 13 federal

agencies.

A section titled “what is coming,” says that e-gov initiatives in the

coming months will move beyond development and implementation

into mature services “supported by services fees.”
