OPM’s latest quarterly summary of steps taken toward its agency priority goals under the President’s Management Agenda cites sharing two pooled hiring actions with agencies, one cross-governmental for customer experience strategists and one for program managers.

“In addition, OPM started working on cross-government actions for contract specialists, environmental protection specialists, budget analysts, HR specialist (employee relations), and personnel security specialists, and conducted 27 information sessions for agencies” on pooled hiring under the priority goal to streamline the hiring experience, it said.

Under another hiring-related goal, to position the federal government as the employer of choice for military and veteran spouses and early career talent, it cited starting work on veterans and military spouse online interactive training, participating in a summit to establish consistent hiring practices and enhance retention of military spouses, and working with the Labor Department on an employment initiative for veterans and military spouses entering or advancing in high-demand cyber occupations.

Under the goal of enabling human capital decision-making for federal agencies and employees, it cited the launch of a feedback link on the eOPF platform to gauge how satisfied employees are with their ability to access their own data on benefits and personnel actions, completion of an inventory of data assets, and reports to agencies on the quality of data in HR systems.

Under the goal related to the launch of the new Postal Service Health Benefits program, it cited continuing work on features of the centralized enrollment and record keeping system.
