The Office of Personnel Management has scheduled its 2004
federal workforce conference for Sept. 8 — 10 for federal
government leaders, managers and practitioners involved in
planning or implementing human capital initiatives.
The conference, also a networking opportunity, will take
place in Baltimore and OPM says participants will gain
insight into the issues and challenges facing the federal
workforce, and what is being done to address them.
The conference is designed to highlight a broad scope of
human capital-related policies, trends, and operational
issues within the government and participants will have an
opportunity to hear from senior management officials and
agency representatives during a mix of plenary sessions and
over 100 90-minute workshops offering a variety of dialogue,
agency case studies, practical guidance, and question and
answer sessions, said OPM.
