As part of its recently announced REDI Roadmap—the R of which stands for recruitment—OPM is reaching out to hiring managers and others for information and best practices tips on use of social media in federal recruitment.
“OPM’s Government-wide Digital Recruitment Workgroup, representing more than 20 federal agencies, needs your help to find digital recruiters across government who can shed light on how government agencies are using social media to recruit,” OPM said in a message to a listserv of those interested in pay, leave and other personnel practices..
“We’re hoping to survey anyone engaged in federal social media recruitment (hiring managers, communication shops, digital teams, etc) to provide some insight into platforms, strategies, metrics, challenges, and successes. Our goal is to build a digital recruitment toolkit to help federal hiring managers maximize their recruitment efforts online, so we’re also collecting information on the types of resources and information that would be most useful in the toolkit,” it said.
