The Office of Personnel Management has awarded a contract
to Monster Government Solutions to continue running the
government website and phone service, as well as operate
and maintain STUDENTJOBS.gov.
It said the five-year, $27.1 million performance-based
contract calls on MGS to innovate through emerging
technologies to improve service reliability and the
overall job search and application experience, as well
as to facilitate the hiring process for federal HR
officials.
MGS overhauled the site in August 2003, rebuilding the
job search capability, expanding the search options,
and introducing an easy to use resume builder, said OPM.
It said MGS improved access to announcements and streamlined
the application process, integrating it with multiple
automated agency hiring systems — and said that site traffic
has grown to about 250,000 visitors a day from 27,000 prior
to August 2003.
