The Office of Personnel Management intends to compete 327
full time equivalent positions in fiscal 2004, according
to its competitive sourcing report.
It said it is in the process of requesting the use of
voluntary early retirement and voluntary separation
incentive payment authorities through September 30, 2004,
which should be enough time to conduct the competitions.
Employees would receive priority consideration under
OPM’s Career Transition Assistance Program as the result
of losing a competition and the center for human capital
management services would deploy staff to discuss benefit
options and provide staff to work with impacted employees
with career assistance, said OPM.
