After ending joint efforts with the Bureau of the Public Debt to implement a tailored solution for migrating financial management and procurement systems to a shared service center, OPM has announced it will hold a public-private competition to reach a solution.
The competition will be for acquiring software, as well as integration, hosting and application management services for the agency’s new financial management and procurement systems, OPM said.
It said the competition would follow financial management line-of-business guidelines, be carried out in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2007, and result in the selection of either a public or private shared service center with demonstrated experience leveraging custom, off-the-shelf technology certified by the Financial Systems Integration Office and other expertise and resources.
