OPM will conduct a Federal Benefits Training Event August 16-September 8 for HR professionals “with the goal of increasing their knowledge of the federal benefits programs and to improve their benefits counseling skills.”

There will be approximately three two-hour courses per week over the four weeks that “will supply an overview of federal retirement and benefits programs as well as news and updates on current federal benefit topics,” an announcement said.

Participation will meet the legal requirement for benefits counselors to undergo training at least annually, it said.

Registration is open through August 5 at https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://registration.golearnportal.org__;!!M9LbjjnYNg9jBDflsQ!A8Uec38Ltq9-Gr9tfBI3yfQYkdEvZ8QF3w-T61zF6Pr-j-tR_C9C0Q6ydiNbETF2gudeCJD7Vfgk5y0hm5vx-g$
