Federal Manager's Daily Report

OPM has announced the planned launch of USAJOBS 3.0 for mid October. From October 6 to 12 nearly 5 billion rows of data from the current system are to be extracted, validated, and subjected to integrity testing to preserve the applicant resumes, seeker profiles, and agency job postings in the current system.

However, while profiles and resumes will remain intact, saved search queries will no longer be active following the transition, and users will need to establish new passwords — the easiest way to do this being to log in now, before the transition, and set up three secret questions/answers, said OPM.

It said that while the USAJOBS search and apply functions will be offline during the transition period, daily transition activities status updates and general employment information will be available on USAJOBS.gov.
