OPM is encouraging managers, HR personnel and front-line employees to take a new course offering without charge on hru.gov, Introduction to Leave, Work-life and Workplace Flexibilities.
In a memo, OPM said the course provides a “comprehensive overview of the benefits of a flexible workplace culture … [and] will help participants gain insight into the commonly used leave, work-life, and workplace flexibility options available to federal employees and managers, as well as how to access these options to meet various needs.”
The is one response to a 2014 White House memo on work-life balance that directed OPM to provide education and guidance about the flexibilities and resources available, and to support agencies in incorporating them into their organizational cultures.
