GSA has raised the micro purchase threshold, the simplified acquisition threshold, and the simplified leasing acquisition threshold in response to Hurricanes Florence and Michael.
“Raising the thresholds will help heads of contracting activities and contracting officers quickly gain access to resources needed in providing direct support” for relief efforts, the agency said.
Separate memos related to each hurricane increase the micro-purchase threshold to $20,000; the simplified acquisition threshold to $750,000 or $13,000,000 for commercial items; and the simplified lease acquisition threshold to $750,000.
The increased thresholds related to Florence will remain in effect until January 31 and those related to Michael until February 28, unless changed in the meantime.
