The Office of Personnel Management has scheduled a course for
April 19-23 for project managers charged with the
implementation of complex projects having significant impact
on their organizations such as IT.
Given at the Western Management Development Center in Denver,
“Managing Complex Projects, Insuring the Success of
Information Technology and Other Major Projects,” is designed
to provide key project management concepts, tools and
techniques to manage complex projects successfully. The
course focuses on the purpose of the project and its
relationship to the organization’s strategic direction as
well as planning, organizing and implementation techniques.
Major topics include project manager responsibilities,
measuring project success, project planning, work breakdown
structure, cost control, communication planning, and risk
analysis.
The $2,900 fee includes meals, lodging, tuition and course
