Public Service Recognition Week will be May 4-10, an annual event recognizing the contributions of government work at the federal, state and local levels.
“Given the continued negative stories about government employees in the media, this week has become a focal point for employees, agencies and supporters to highlight the positive stories and talk about the value that government and its workforce bring to the American people,” says the Public Employees Roundtable, a coalition of employee groups that sponsors the event.
This year’s theme is Proud to Serve.
