Recipients of the 2011 Presidential Ranks of Distinguished Executive and Distinguished Professional helped save $36 billion last year though their combined accomplishments, the Senior Executives Association has announced.
Just 1 percent of the SES is eligible to receive the rank of distinguished executive, while 1 percent of executives in senior level and scientific and professional positions similarly may receive the rank of distinguished senior professional.
According to the SEA, recipients were recognized for efforts including: coordinating a multi-agency response to earthquake-stricken Haiti; leading the Army’s BRAC round involving 11,000 employees; administering social security programs to 57 million people with a 98 percent customer satisfaction rating; containing the spread of a genetically modified corn grain; and, standing up and leading the new Army Contracting Command – the first time a senior executive was put in charge of a military command.
