Performance.gov and the Partnership for Public Service have separately posted resources for agencies to use for Public Service Recognition Week, which this year is May 5-11.

“Our campaign toolkit includes social media templates, video backgrounds, and stickers that you can use to share your appreciation for public servants. Whether you are using these tools externally on social media platforms or internally on newsletters, emails, and other communications, they are designed to make it easy for you to participate in this important (and fun!) campaign,” says a posting on performance.gov.

The site also includes “kudos cards to express appreciation for the public servants in your lives through internal or external communication, such as notes, emails, or social media posts.”

Performance.gov is holding a webinar Thursday (April 11) at 1 pm Eastern time; information and registration is here.

Resources and suggestions—including for example using the week as an opportunity for employee awards programs—from the Partnership are here. That group typically uses Recognition Week to announce the finalists in the various categories for its annual Service to America Medals, or Sammies, with winners announced in the autumn.
