Federal workers submitted 19,559 ideas for improvements in government efficiency during the recently concluded SAVE award contest, OMB has announced. That’s about 1,000 more than last year.
OMB will generate a list of finalists for the third SAVE award and will post the suggestions for public voting.
The "Securing Americans’ Value and Efficiency" award is an administration initiative that solicits cost-cutting ideas from the federal workforce. The winning submission for 2010 was to end the wasteful delivery of the Federal Register throughout the government.
