Federal Manager's Daily Report

The Small Business Administration has announced a pilot project under the recently enacted Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 that will grant money to organizations that team up with small businesses to help them complete for contracts.

The agency said the Small Business Teaming Pilot program will accept grant funding proposals from national organizations interested in providing training, guidance, counseling, mentoring and procurement assistance to small businesses in teaming arrangements, for example joint ventures or prime and subcontractor relationships.

SBA said it expects to make from 10 to 20 grant awards in the range of $250,000-$500,000 totaling up to $5 million for fiscal 2011.
