The SSA is touting the results of redesigning the FAQ section of its website, which included reducing the number of questions from 500 to 200—with the result that its site won an award from the Center for Plan Language.
“The newly revised FAQs are more clear and concise,” SSA said, adding that members of the public “come to our website for immediate answers, not a long drawn out experience.”
The FAQ home page has a listing of just 10 major topics and just seven most popular questions, plus both search and browse features.
SSA said it continually reviews its online presence for ways to improve the user experience and that it uses public comments and suggestions when making changes.
