GSA has announced the launch of Challenge.gov, a website agencies can use to leverage challenges and prizes to spur citizen engagement and garner new approaches to carrying out aspects of their missions.
"By providing agencies with a no cost, easy, ready-to-use solution through Challenge.gov, GSA has built upon the successes agencies have already had in using challenges and provided a platform that offers even more uniformity and consistency in how the public engages with their government," said Dave McClure, GSA’s associate administrator for citizen services and innovative technologies.
Early in the year GSA provided an online forum platform that agencies could integrate into their websites, thereby meeting a White House requirement for implementing a public feedback mechanism.
GSA said it has worked with OMB and the Office of Science and Technology Policy to clear all necessary legal and policy requirements for agencies to use Challenge.gov.
