Federal Manager's Daily Report

A series of two-day workshops on space management and labor relations will be held in Boston, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles in March-May.

The workshops, jointly sponsored by the Federal Labor Relations Authority, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and the GSA, are free to those interested although space is limited.

They will include a tour of a redesigned federal office space; an overview by GSA of its owned and leased space project lifecycle and opportunities for employee engagement and labor-management collaboration; a review by FLRA of the duty and scope of bargaining and impasse resolution, as well as policies on pre-decisional involvement of unions during office moves; collaborative problem-solving skills training and resources available through FMCS; and discussion with agencies and labor organizations that recently went through office moves about their experiences and lessons learned.
