Administration Opposes Provisions

The Bush administration, in comments on the DHS spending bill, said it “is opposed to any effort to reduce or eliminate funding for the DHS Max HR initiative. This human resource management system is designed to meet the diverse personnel pay and benefit requirements of DHS.” The White House also opposes language in the measure that would continue a restriction on contracting out of work performed by the immigration information officers at the DHS’s Citizenship and Immigration Services.
