The Army has made its civilian employees eligible for a $2,000 referral bonus that previously had applied only to soldiers and Army retirees. The bonus is available to someone who refers to an Army recruiter a person who has not previously served in the Armed Forces and that person enlists in the active Army, Army National Guard or Army Reserves, completes basic training and graduates advanced individual training. The referrer may not be an immediate family member, and the person doing the referring may not be serving in a recruiting or retention assignment.
