Check if Coverage is Changing

Although the large majority of FEHB enrollees make no changes during the annual open season, officials advise at the minimum that enrollees check to make sure they will continue to be covered during the new plan year. For 2003, some 27,000 enrollees must change coverage because their plans are dropping out or reducing coverage areas. On the other hand, several new plans have joined and some others have expanded their coverage areas, meaning enrollees may have more choice than they would think if they didn’t investigate.
