COLA Count Nears Finish Line

With just one month remaining in the count that will determine the January 2003 federal retiree cost-of-living adjustment, retirees have banked 1.4 percent, following release of the August figure of the inflation measure on which the COLA is based that showed an increase of 0.3 percentage points last month.
