With the new TSP computer system now operating for a month, numerous-and in some cases vehement–complaints continue to come from investors about inability to gain access to the system to check account balances, move money among funds and perform other transactions. While most of the complaints center on difficulty of access through the Web, many investors also are saying they’re having trouble getting through on the TSP’s customer service phone line, where many frustrated would-be Web users are turning. Some investors further have raised questions about figures on outstanding loans. The TSP says it has fixed a problem that affected how certain information was displayed that caused some confusion. It also says it has not received complaints about the accuracy of the data but that any participants who believe their records are incorrect should make a report and it will be investigated. The agency is continuing to work on the Web access problem.
