Customs Upgrades Jobs

The Customs Service, saying salaries for many of its inspectors and canine enforcement officers are inadequate under their current job classification system, in August will raise the grade for those achieving the full performance level from GS-9 to GS-11. The move will affect about 2500 employees and translate into raises up to about $10,000, depending on locality and step level.
