Deadline for Action Approaching

The deadline for either accepting or challenging the payments calculated for an individual under the special rate settlement is October 27; class members may challenge factors such as the dates in a position, grade level, occupation, location, agency and retirement date, if applicable. Also, those who believe they are in the eligible class but who do not get a distribution package should request a “Class Membership Claim Form” by that date. The settlement administrator can be contacted at P.O. Box 4068, Portland, OR 97208-4068. Payments could start going out later this year to those who accept the amount calculated for them, although those filing challenges could see payments delayed for many months if not several years until challenges are resolved.
