DoD Bill Also Pending

While the House has passed a DoD authorization bill that contains numerous policy changes affecting DoD employees, including a three-year moratorium on new contracting-out studies at DoD, the full Senate has not yet voted on its version (S-3001), which in general would make more minor changes such as providing new hiring authorities in certain occupations and improving certain benefits in downsizing situations and for employees assigned to combat zones. Another provision would allow some military reserve technicians
