Enrollment Must Be Done Online or by Phone

OPM is encouraging enrollment in FEDVIP through the new “Benefeds” online portal, www.benefeds.com. If employees do not have access to a computer, they may call 877-888-3337, TTY 877-889-5680 to enroll. A paper enrollment form may be used only if an employee does not have access to the Internet and does not have access to a telephone during normal business hours. They should request the form through their agencies, which will in turn get one from OPM. Employees cannot enroll or change their enrollment in a FEDVIP plan using the FEHB election form (SF 2809) or through an agency self-service system. However, those sites may provide a link to the Benefeds site.
