The international stock (I) fund of the Thrift Savings Plan was the leading TSP fund in 2004, posting a gain for the year of 20.00 percent, outpacing the small U.S. company stock (S) fund and the large company stock (C) fund, which posted annual gains of 18.03 and 10.82 percent, respectively. The I fund gained 4.38 percent in December while the S fund gained 4.17 percent and the C fund gained 3.36 percent. Both the government securities (G) and bond (F) funds gained 4.30 percent in 2004, following gains in December of 0.38 and 0.97 percent, respectively.
