The second anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy is upon us. And once again while we mourn our dead, we pay tribute to those heroes of that fateful day. They included civil service workers and military men and women who lost their lives in these cowardly terrorist attacks. Since that day other Americans have given their lives to fight terrorism, as well. And many thousands of federal workers and military personnel continue to put their lives on the line to protect us and to make the greatest nation in the world a beacon of hope for all those yearning for the cool breezes of freedom.
