Key Spending Bill Progresses

The House has started work on the key annual spending bill affecting federal employee pay and benefits, with the Transportation-Treasury appropriations bill having passed the subcommittee level and possibly clearing the full Appropriations Committee this week. The full House, however, may not take up the bill until after Labor Day.
