Manhattan Has Top Rate

The top per diem rate-combining the lodgings portion with the meals and incidental expenses portion-is in Manhattan, with a $208 lodging rate and a $50 “M&IE” rate. The high season (June 15-September 15) rate in Ocean City, New Jersey, is close behind, with a $215 lodging portion and a $42 M&IE portion. In third place is the Vail, Colo., high season rate of $246 total. For travel destinations without individual rates, a $55 lodging rate and a $30 M&IE rate will continue to apply. Thirteen more destinations are getting individual rates for fiscal 2003.
