Mileage Rate Announcement Pending

Around the turn of the year, GSA typically announces mileage reimbursement for federal employees who use their personal vehicles on official business. GSA generally, but not necessarily, follows an IRS figure for certain tax deductibility purposes. The most important figure to most employees is the rate for using a personal automobile or similar vehicle, currently 56.5 cents per mile. The IRS has announced that the comparable figure it uses will be 56 cents in calendar year 2014.
