During open seasons, the overwhelming majority of FEHB enrollees stick with their current coverage. However, officials advise that at a minimum, enrollees should check to make sure their plan is continuing. Current plans that won’t participate in 2006 are: Humana Health Plan-Louisville, Ky.; NevadaCare, Nevada; PHP Insurance Plan-Prevea, Wis.; and UHP Healthcare, Calif. Also, United Healthcare of Ohio is dropping its standard option. Those plans together have about 3,400 enrollees, who must choose other coverage. Officials also advise that even enrollees happy with their plan review the coverage their plan offers-changes overall were relatively few and minor-and know what their premiums will be. Enrollees also should be familiar with the options available to them, since there are some new plans and some plans expanded their geographic scope.
