The pay raise’s effects are felt differently at top levels where pay banding arrangements are used. The most numerous of those employees are in the SES. The minimum SES rate rises from $111,676 to $114,468, so any SESer earning at the minimum rate will get a raise to at least the new minimum. For others, raises are linked to performance, and pay can range up to $158,500 in agencies without a performance evaluation certified as making meaningful distinctions of performance to $172,200 in agencies that have been certified.
