NSPS Conversion Fact Sheet Issued

DoD has released a fact sheet providing general information concerning conversion to the national security personnel system, the within-grade-increase buy-in, the effect of conversion on career conditional and probationary employees. The first group of employees went into the NSPS effective at the end of April; the next group, called “spiral 1.2” is scheduled for October, although DoD has yet to determine which employees will be in that phase. A third phase, “spiral 1.3,” also undefined, is set to convert in January 2007.
