One More Deadline on Special Rates Case

March 16 is the deadline for those who have been issued a check in the settlement in the long-running special rates back pay case but who have not cashed it to request a reissued check. Uncashed checks have been voided and the settlement fund is closing soon. A request for a reissued check must be faxed to the special rates settlement administrator at (503) 350-5890, with name, Social Security number, address and signature. The payouts relate to a suit over back pay for certain special rate employees who had their raises improperly capped or denied during the 1981-1988 period.
